The part new build, part refurbishment of Southampton Dock´s Gate 10 cruise terminal for the Association of British Ports.
Electrical Services - distribution, lighting & emergency lighting inclusive of specialist control systems and building management control systems. Fire, security & CCTV, data wiring & public address system were provided throughout the terminal building. Small power system was supplied to the check-in desks and other specialist equipment i.e. X-ray machines. Mechanical Services - new ventilation systems including air handling plant duct work to provide heating and ventilation to all new areas of the terminal including a fully integrated BMS and domestic services to the new toilet facilities.
Using careful forward planning, EIC was able to overcome major coordination and logistical issues ensuring the integration of the new build and refurbished areas. Working with light weight materials including Kool Duct´ reduced loading issues to the roof and existing ceiling. Detailed and carefully planned routes for both M&E services enabled this project to be completed snag free in advance of the first cruise ship of the season to set sail.
