A new Marks and Spencer store, built within the Westfield´s development centre comprising of 103,000 ft. The 5 storey building is fed from two 1600kVA 400V transformers and a 1000kVA generator to supply the essential services.
Services included incoming transformers/panels and LV switch panels, general lighting and power, emergency lighting, fire alarm, CCTV, intruder & access control, IT, mechanical power/control wiring and lightning protection.
Whilst the project had difficulties due to the demanding programme and new concepts to the original design standards, the store opened on schedule.
As this store was branded "store of the future" new design concepts were introduced.
