Project Description

Spread over three years and split into three phases this challenging high specification project was a total refurbishment of the electrical and mechanical installation of the medieval castle, church and private areas on St Michael´s Mount.

Scope of works

Electrical services comprised of a new island switch room, LV mains switchgear, distribution and small power. lighting and emergency lighting, intruder and fire alarm systems, aerials, voice and data system. Mechanical services included new boiler rooms, ventilation, heating, hot and cold services, sanitaryware and underground drainage.

Project Overview

This was a very successful project for EIC requiring close liaising with specialist builders and the National Trust, with particular consideration and care given to the existing furnishings and fabric of the building. The project was completed within the time constraints and within budget.

Special Requirements

To install the services to the new school buildings with little or no disturbance to the existing school whilst most of the school was in occupation.
