The old Robinson Shaft is a disused tin mine at the heart of the Cornish tin mining area and is to be renovated along with the old engineering workshops along with new buildings which will be constructed over the 700 hectare site to provide a centre for exhibitions, educational facilities, artists studios and accommodation units along with extensive parkland on the site.
EIC have been brought into the team at the conception of the project to work with Midas as the EBS Designers and Contractors to develop the scheme to include:-
• Biomass Steam Generation.
• Biomass LTHW Generation.
• Electric Generation through Wind Farm,
• Steam Turbine and PV´s.
• Solar Hot Water Generation.
• Rainwater Harvesting and Grey Water
• Recycling.
• Passive and Natural Ventilation Systems.
• Evaporative Cooling and Free Cooling
• Systems.
• EMS and BMS Integrated Controls Systems.
EIC in partnership with Midas Construction have been awarded the Heartlands project in Cornwall.
The project provides EIC the opportunity to detail the full design and build of the Engineered Building services for this the 1st phase of the project and to work as part of the clients project team to deliver a Carbon Neutral in operation site, utilising modern technology but at the same time renovating the old steam beam pump and set back to work in its original state to pump water from the mine and re use this water to drive the water features within the park.
